Roger Evans, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.P.
Dr. Evans is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He introduced cardiac rehabilitation at Via Christi, and the heart muscle biopsy technique to the Wichita area. His other interests include congenital heart disease. He has twice served as the chairman of the internal medicine department and recently was president of the medical staff at the Via Christi Medical Center.
Gerasimos Stefanatos Stavens M.D.
Dr. Stavens is a graduate of University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his post-graduate training at St Louis University Hospital/VA Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri and Fellowships at Long Island Medical Center, Duke University Medical Center, New York Methodist Hospital, and Hartford Hospital. He has moved to Kansas to fulfill his dream of dedicating his services to provide high quality healthcare to rural communities and outreach areas. He is passionate in promoting cardiovascular disease prevention through didactic sessions and education to both community and hospital based settings. His interests also include invasive and non-invasive cardiology and pacemaker implantation. He is available for consultation at all times.
Hussam Farhoud, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I.
Dr. Farhoud is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He specializes in congestive heart failure, cardiac transplant and nuclear cardiology. The procedures he performs include heart catheterization, coronary angioplasty and stenting, intravascular ultrasound, rotational atherectomy, transesophageal echocardiography, endomyocardial biopsy, peripheral angioplasty and stenting, permanent pacemakers and ICD placement.
Mulugeta Fissha, M.D.
Dr. Mulugeta Fissha obtained his Internal Medicine residency training at the Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Program in Internal Medicine where he received the highest performing resident award. Dr. Fissha later joined the Medical College of Georgia for cardiovascular fellowship, where he also completed a certificate in clinical and translational medicine. He underwent further subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Interventions at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, a premier institution for cardiovascular care including heart and lung transplantation.
Shilpa Kshatriya, M.D.
Dr. Shilpa Kshatriya is the newest addition to the Cypress Heart family. Originally from the beautiful islands of the Bahamas, Dr.Kshatriya went to medical school in India and then pursued further training at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, New York. She obtained her Internal Medicine degree at Upstate, and completed further training in Geriatrics Medicine and General Cardiology. Her particular areas of interest included Geriatrics Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging for she which has been Board Certified by the American Society of Echocardiography. Her focus also includes the prevention and treatment of Women’s Heart Disease, an often less well understood and statistically less appropriately treated demographic. Dr.Kshatriya hopes to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease in women, the number one killer, and reduce gaps in medical care.
